LaMonte also performs his impression of the dances done Betty Hutton, Detroit's number-one jitterbug. He first became well known to Detroiters through his orchestra, Gene LaMonte's Syncopators, before he studied dancing under Ned Wayburn, and began making interpretative and comedy dances his forte."
